A cozy place where you'll find Bohol's antiquities, history, craft and culture.

"Grand entrance" to the museum because of the hall in the middle. Aircon is good. Well curated artifacts from the church ruins and details their restoration efforts. Courteous staff also. Clean CRs. Too bad the 2nd flr is closed due to repairs. Definitely worth the time if you're into museums and history.
Bohol museum stands at the very heart of the city. Housed inside the old Provincial Capitol of Bohol it is in proximity to other important landmarks in the area such as the city plaza and cathedral. Once you enter the place you'll be greeted with a spacious, air-conditioned courtyard beautified with miniaturized versions of Bohol's famous heritage structures. Examples of which are the towers in Panglao and Maribojoc, as well as the church in Baclayon. The courtyard also serves as your access to the other galleries in the museum. Pagbanhaw gallery highlights Bohol's rich heritage structures and those damaged by the strong earthquake in 2013. It also showcases the efforts done by the Boholanos to preserve their rich heritage. Another interesting gallery found inside the museum is the Pagpauli, which showcases the marvelous sculptures made by Napoleon Abueva, a renowned artist who came from Duero, Bohol.
Amazing place with nice artifacts and useful information. I hope more exhibits are coming soon.
I really love the ambiance of this place. ️
Full of well preserved species of any kind and relics from the past.
Large exhibition of sculpture by a Bohol artist and two smaller galleries about Bohol churches and reconstruction after 2013 earthquake. Also 2 video programs on Bohol. Exhibits rotate, I think. Free admission in former provincial capitol.
Nice place...I just see the pics..wish to go there
