Saw display unit in Wilcon but bought this from Hayes showroom is San Juan. Pros: 1. Energy efficient (15w nominal which is less than the power used to super quick charge my phone!) 2. Long blades for strong air flow. 3. Blades can run in reverse! (Alternate air cooling/rotation mode) 4. Post sales support. 5. Uses DC motor. Cons: 1. Expensive (you can buy a 2 hp aircon equivalent) 2. DC motors tend to be heavier than standard AC motors (for mounting consideration) To be determined: 1. Durability (seller mentioned that sold units are still running with no problem since purchase 5 to 7 years ago) 2. Blade warping (blades on our old ceiling fan has bent signifacantly over time) 3. Post sales service.
