This shop is only good for renting gowns and not custom-made, We went to the shop to have some clothes custom-made. Marvin, immediately accepted the job and said that they could finish it on time. On the day of the fitting, we were disappointed with how the clothes turned out. The fabrication was substandard as my boss (the dresses were for her, she was with me in all the meetings, to fit and take measurements) specified she would like silk fabric and specifically instructed to just add to the cost the premium fabrics for the clothes she requested. When it comes to the construction of the clothes, Marvin used a fabric and cut the pants as though it is knit material. What designer doesn't know that a woven fabrication is cut differently than a knit? This made the pants he made uncomfortable when sitting. Please note that other than the horrible output, Marvin is unprofessional. He didn't bother to face us on the day of the fitting and have evaded our text messages when it was already time to deliver the finished outfits. Was it because we were already fully paid? In the end, I only received the clothes because I had to hound them for it. He promised to send it to my house but I had to get the clothes myself because he would not respond to my text messages days after he promised to deliver and my boss who needed the clothes was already flying out. I felt sorry that I even recommended Marvin to my boss who needed these outfits for her 70s party in L.A. on September 9. Luckily she was not bothered how disappointing the clothes turned out. I think she rushed ordered a different outfit online and had the clothes delivered straight to her L. A. home. If you want designers with good work ethic and can deliver to your specifications, I suggest you look elsewhere. Marvin is horrible.

The rental is pricey, the quality of the gowns is a bit dilapidated. Not a go to place if your up to quality gown.
