We still love their puto bumbong, bibingka and halo-halo mini sampler. Unfortunately, the pancit luglog taste leaves much to be desired.

Dined a few hours ago. There is a wait of about 20mins. give or take for our food. Almost good but tasted like reheated or maybe dry Puto Bung Bong. Laswa soup is good but the shellfish is overcooked came rubbery, shrimps is okay. Pancit Luglog's noodles and sauce is done well. Calcag's quantity and and flavor is enough. Overall not that disappointing yet expensive. But the hosts are very welcoming. Might not dine here again in a while.

Via Mare is a venerable name in Philippine restaurants. They serve Filipino dishes done well. Order their oysters on the half shell, lumpiang sariwa, and Kare Kare. You would not be disappointed. The staff is exceptional and attentive, which is what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant in operating since the 1970s.

Via Mare is an institution. Rockwell Branch has all of my favorite dishes. Dining area gets full fast though. Great service from long time staff. Favorite dishes include bibingka with salted egg, pancit luglog, oysters, tortang alimasag, sirloin tapa, and sinigang.
