It has been my dream to someday visit Rizal's Shrine in Dapitan and now my dream is fulfilled. The place is grand! There's no entrance fee but freelance photographers will take your photo and sell the printout for P50 each. As you walk around, you get to feel how simple Rizal's life was then and it gave me a sense of feeling that being exiled here wasn't such a bad idea. He was able to accomplish a lot of things from performing surgeries, building a dam, farming, fishing, teaching, and more. Indeed, it was a wonderful experience for me to immerse myself for a moment into our national hero's life.

Park is historical. Poorly maintained. So sad to see this place decline. It was nice and clean back in the old days. Now that it's a National Shrine... It should be at the level of Luneta, Intramuros, Rizal's Calamba boyhood home in terms of maintenance and budget.

Its very fulfilling to be here. We can be able to see the life of our dear hero Dr. Jose Rizal. Here we can see it with our own eyes All that he did. His house, his kitchen. Everything has its own story to tell. A very historical place. I salute how they manage the park. As a visitor I am very fulfilled that i was able to visit the Rizal Park.

A good place to know more about our national hero. It improved a bit since the last time I visited. There are also small snack stalls outside of the park and a lot of souvenir shops, too. Spacious area for parking is also available. You should visit this place at least once in your lifetime.
