Food is not worth your money. Very few selections. Place is too small and gets really crowded. Although I have always loved their kare kare and dinuguan but they take too long to refill on this branch. Plus they should add more food and dessert on their menu.

We needed a place that would accommodate 15 guests for our niece's graduation dinner. Cabalen was suggested and I'm so happy we went. The food was excellent and there was a large variety. Fish, adobo, lechon baboy and many others. And don't leave without availing yourself of the chocolate fountain and many desserts and fruits! Excellent value, especially for large groups (or hungry mouths)

Visit this place January 20, 2020 and 2 out of 4 people have stomach people after eating there, running stomach, but we don't eat the same things so hard to tell what kind of food which was bad, but something was bad as we never have this kind of problems, so I suggest this place to close down, clean the place, don't serve food prepared days before, but only FRESH FOOD!!!

so disappointed. not enough food selection for a buffet type restaurant. actually, there was hardly ANY food when i went there with my family. if you plan on eating fondue and salads buffet style then you should go here.

Cabalen is one of the better option for buffet in SM Fairview. They are quite inexpensive but they have limited food options. It's popular with families and group of friends. If you want to maximize your dining experience, I would suggest that you line up early as the establishment will get filled during holidays and weekends even with a bigger dining area. UPDATE: August 2018 Encountered a rude staff and decided it is not worth eating here anymore considering the fact that they have better competitors in the area with friendlier staff.

We were enticed to dine in here, thinking it was cheap. But we we're surprised that we're billed more, because the VAT is not inclusive in the price. There's not much food to choose from, so we felt that it's not worth it, even if we're already expecting that it's less than other buffet because of the price. It's also hard to get service, as attendants aren't always present. Maybe they have other tasks or duties to attend to, but it's still necessary to always have someone to attend to customers. When I asked a waiter for another glass of water, he's quite in a hurry, causing the water to spill on the table. I din't feel the usual hospitality that I experience when dining on other restaurants. I know that I paid less as compared to other restaurants, but I think that it's still not worth paying for. I felt really bad after dining there. I might give Cabalen another try, by going to their other branches, but I highly discourage dining in the said branch.
