I went into this Watsons to buy some shaver refills. The price tag on the shelf said they were 329 pesos. I took them to the cashier and they scanned at 488 pesos. I told the cashier they should be 329. So she went to look at the price tag on the shelf and she said that price tag was for a \different product\. I pointed out to her that it was not. The description on the price tag matched the product exactly. So then she said the price on the shelf display was wrong, so I told her she is obliged to charge the lower price, because consumer law states that is there is a variation between the price displayed on the shelf (which is what the consumer bases their purchasing decision on) and the price shown by the scanner, the retailer has to charge the lower of the two prices. She refused to do that. I pointed out that she would be breaking the law if she charges the higher price. She continued to refuse to process the sale at the lower price because she kept saying that the price on the shelf was wrong. In the end I paid the higher price because I didn't want to waste my time arguing over 100 pesos, but I shall avoid Watsons stores where I can in the future if they cannot educate their staff about how they should be charging customers. That consumer law was designed to prevent retailers from charging customers higher prices at the cash register than what is shown on the shelf. I noticed it because it was only one item. But if it had been in a supermarket and I had a trolley-full of items, I wouldn't notice them overcharging at the cash register.

I am complaining regarding the vouchers granted to those watson card members. It's been the third time I tried to use it on branch and they cant use it because the \system\ is not working. And they just only say sorry and not even doing anything. So what are those vouchers for? a scam?
