One of the biggest libraries in the Philippines containing a collection of old, original and rare books from around the country and the world.

The main library building may be old but the services provided is up-to- date with the demands of its students and visiting researchers. Decent wi-fi coverage and other electronic services (electric outlets, PC use, etc.). The old building boasts of high ceilings with generous window openings for natural lighting and ventilation. This allows the building to function well even without electronic AC in all its rooms and minimize artificial lighting during the day. Concerns of fire safety may have to be addressed considering the building's age and contents some of which are already reflected in existing policies and various research covering the topic.

A good place to study, open until midnight. If the UP administration throws in air conditioning and 24/7 service, I might change my review to 5 stars ;)

Helpful librarians respond on social media. Wi-fi was workable :) very valuable Filipiniana collection. Please safeguard this against fire. 2 buildings in UP burned down in the past yr. And 1 this year.

Great library services. The General Reference section is open until midnight, other sections (i.e. Social Sciences, Filipiniana) close at 5PM.
