A very historic place and the best place to visit if you interested in climate, applications of physics and history of typhoons in the Philippines.

The Manila Observatory is a research institute located on the campus of the Ateneo de Manila University. It was established during the Spanish period for weather forecasting in the Philippines for more than 100 years ago, I think. It was a good chance to know more about the technology and tools they use to measure and predict the weather in the Philippines.

More than a landmark of great Filipino science research, MO is a center for advanced environmental action, research, advocacy and sustainable environmental development and justice. MO houses the Ateneo Environmental science Dept, and many NGOs. A wonderful experience

Nice old-style building housing the Manila Observatory and a few other offices. Reception and security staff are always helpful. The building is a good short distance away from Ateneo gates 1 and 2. There is a ramp at the main entrace which makes going into the building wheelchair accessible, but ince inside it will be difficult to access upper floors and the basement rooms because the elevator is not working.
