The Pintado Rock Formation is a natural geologic feature known for its colorful cliff face naturally painted by mineral and water leaching over the decades, hence the name Pintado which is the local word for painted. The place has become increasingly popular for adventure seekers and casual trekkers because of the colorful patterns on the rocks which make a unique backdrop for selfies and photos. Braver people can climb the rock wall or dive from a 20-foot high ledge into the sea. There's also a shallow natural pool suitable for adult non-swimmers. Visitors are required to register at the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Bulalacao, Kawayan and pay P45 entrance fee per person. The amount is inclusive of the boat fare. Visitors should also bring their own food and drinks as there are no restaurants in the area.
