Fantastic exhibit of Ilocano culture and heritage focus on wine making as well as textile weaving and embroidery. The Father Burgos House is great and the Quirino exhibit at the jail is also great. A nice twist are the art exhibits, one vintage series about the basi revolt and another by modern artist Neil Colorico.
This place is well preserved and maintained! If you want a good story and history, just drop by on this place! It's FREE!
The Jose Burgoz house is currently undergoing maintenance works so some of the parts are off limits to visitors while the former Provincial Jail and Library has been restored and is fully functional. There is an ongoing Neal Oshima food photography exhibit when we visited. Air conditioned and well secured. Closed on Mondays.
President Quirino's belongings was preserved well here. No entrance fee. We can also see here some old artifacts and paintings during the basi revolt.
Very memorable and educational experience. People are very accomodating and courteous. Calesa experience is superb!
