A so-called Relationship Manager of this branch attended to me and kept insisting that she could not help me open a bank account because I only hold an ACR I-card for Tourists. I pointed out this line in the UnionBank web site's FAQ to her: "To be acceptable, please present your original Passport and ACR I-card (for permanent resident or tourist of more than 180 days) as identification documents." Maybe she cannot comprehend the level of English on the bank's own web site, or she was just poorly trained, or perhaps she was plain lazy or incompetent or both, but she did not budge from her position that she will not open a bank account for me because I only had an ACR I-card for tourists.

Refusing to assist customers. I've been working in customer service in a long time. I know CSA can pull up accounts by some means by instead letting me to go home to bring some piece of proof even tho I have IDs. What a shameful disgrace.
