We had our first New Year lunch here. I was excited but got disappointed; it was different from what he described. My brother said, the place wasn't that small before. And because of safety issues, food was served for you. The small portions made you keep on returning back and forth . The food was good but I couldn't eat a lot.

Food is okay. Just be wary of making reservations as you need to be crystal clear with your arrangements. We have had a couple of similar arrangements with contrasting results. The first being smooth and satisfactory, where we paid for only those who came and were given discounted rates for small kids and had a free pass for someone whose birthday falls within the current month. Our second experience was just terrible. We were asked to pay for six guests who did not arrive, paid full price for four kids and two babies and no free pass was given to us despite having two persons celebrating their birthdays within the month. If it involves a relatively large number of people, then it would be best to eat elsewhere.

Best value buffet! Lots of selections available for 400php. Their pritchon, and pritchon wraps amazing! I also loved their selection of atchara, kare kare, bulalo and their gintaang cigarilias! Only criticism for me is to add more meat in those dishes hehe. Apart from that this is great capampangan food for cheap. Tip: get there earlier than meal time and get the fresh servings

Not organized during this time of pandemic, tasteless food and poor customer service. As what they said, you get what you pay for. It was my first time and it will be the last.

Good points: -authentic filipino food -budget friendly -well lighted -roomy specially on weekdays Not so good points: -limited selection of dishes -not that awesome dessert bar -food is sometimes not hot or might have been sitting there for too long Overall impression: If you’re looking for a place to treat your family and you have a limited budget this is a good place to bring them. Your relatives (specially the titas) will appreciate the delicious pinoy foods they serve here. Although some might critic certain dishes. The fried lechon is to die for. Seriously.

Campy, crowded and oh so noisy...these are just a few words to describe Cabalen...and it doesn't matter which branch we are describing. One of the pioneers (I believe) of the eat all you can culture in the country, Cabalen is still the place to go to have the best (yes, THE BEST) kare kare...and eat as much as you want till your arteries get clogged and your digestion goes awry....all time favorites will still be the crispy kangkong leaves (as long as it is crispy), gatang kuhol (seems to be a seasonal treat), pansit puti, dinuguan, bringhe, pritchon (but I take the the crispy lechon by itself...yummy!) and for dessert guinatan. Am really not so sure why they have the sushi and thai (?) bar-I think I saw crispy catfish salad-but enough of that please...the Kapampangan flavors will do enough and will do greatly. Tip! Come during opening hours to be able to feast on the newly cooked food! At PHP 398.00, consider this as an invitation to a fulfilling Pampanga fiesta!

Delicious food. I like my food freshly cooked and hot. Since it is a buffet style, some of the dishes are not hot anymore. I'm not sure if we could ask to reheat them, but I hope so especially when tourists would request this.
