UPLB Parasites Collection

For those who cannot travel to the Meguro Parasitological Museum, this exhibit by the UP CVM probably is the closest thing we have here in the Philippines. Ascariids perhaps comprise bulk of the collection but there are also a multitude of other interesting specimens.There also hand carved wooden models of various parasites like flukes. Most people will perhaps will not appreciate the value of this exhibit but for the few of us interested in parasitology this exhibit inspires wonder. The control of parasites have great medical and veterinary importance, this exhibit highlights a problem our country still haven't solved.
