We dived with Matt and Coral Sea after a botched Coron trip. We weren't expecting much by way of diving off a major city but were pleasantly surprised! The diving itself was quite lovely - turtles, fish, a cave, and more. Onto the diving company itself - it's way more 'personal' than bigger dive shops, and that can be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. The good is definitely the fact that he gives you undivided attention, looks for your preferences, takes good care of you underwater and you pretty much feel like the entire day's been organized for you. The cons are (esp if you are used to diving with established 'big shops') are you feel it's a little more ad-hoc, and that can be disarming. But don't worry, you're in good hands and as far as I'm concerned, both experiences are worth having. Matt knows the area damn well, and on the second day, his buddy Tim took amazing care of my wife who had a few problems under the water thanks to a flooding mask. Overall, I had a great time, and would heartily recommend both diving off Lapu-Lapu; and Coral Sea Dive itself for a 'different from big dive shop' experience. Thank you Matt & Tim - we will remember these dives for a long time. PS: If you're diving here, you MUST do the cave.

Matt is a very patient and calm instructor. It was my second dive and my boyfriends first one. We felt very comfortable and save in the water although it was raining. We did 2 dives and we where swimming around on our own pretty fast. Matt knows the reefs like no other and can show beginner aswel as expert divers. Thank you Matt for teaching us, we would definitely recommend everyone to dive with Matt!

My friend and I dived with Matt at daytime and night, you could see different species of sea animals even at the same area. Don't miss the cave under 27 meters. He is patient and experienced ,feeling that he is teaching you how to dive throughout the process. At the same time, Max was very nice,he send the hat I left in his car to the hotel reception the day after our night dive.

Diving with Matt is always a memorable event. His service is first class, he knows all the best dive sites and there’s always a fun bunch of divers along to liven up a day out. I’ve been diving with Matt for years now and I highly recommend his operation. If you go on a boat trip with Matt make sure to have the BBQ it’s excellent too!

Small family run dive center, I dived OW 2 days with them (Matt -the boss & Vio -the safe DM). It was like a family, chill atmosphere, good equipment, clean boat, tastefull boat lunch, dive spot brief, 5 spots with different reef & fish. They know well the job. Don't be scared of the bad road access to the pier, I was at 3 piers in Mactan, all had a mess road. Less infrastructure in the big Cebu, anyway!

The best dive shop to go for if you are looking for a safe and awesome diving!!!Blessed to be assigned with Matthew who is very experienced .Plane wreck and above the Marigondon cave is my favourite .I’ve been travelling around the Philippines for a month now and I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt Coral Sea Dive Center deserves an excellent write up. Of all the shops I’ve visited, they’ve been the most hopeful and friendliest. Every single one of their staff were welcoming and made you feel like part of their team.We were very impressed , I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to divers as a great dive location for both small, groups and large ones. They organised a great BBQ for lunch ,We enjoy our day diving with Coral Sea Dive Center.

My boyfriend and me had really nice dives with Matt. Matt was absolutely a professional, very responsible. We had seen a lot of fishes. Matt also recommended us good place to eat, made our life much easier. Highly recommended!
