Hats off for the Caesar Salad. I could tell that their dressing was freshly made. The seafood in tomato soup was another obvious winner. The steak was passable - remember, this is an Italian restaurant and not a steakhouse.

Conveniently at a quieter side of the business district, this place is always a safe choice when I look for quality Italian food. I used to always go for pasta and pizza but went for the huge shrimps this time. I never knew I was missing so much. Will always go back to la grotta

This quaint and charming restaurant is perfect for fancy date nights with your significant other or wine night with your fellow tita and tito friends. The food were reasonably priced, given the ambiance and servings of the dishes. While waiting for our food to arrive, we were given a basket of freshly baked bread served with butter and pate, as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We ordered Bianca Pizza , Ravioli Porcini (mushroom filled ravioli with cream sauce), and Tagliatelle Di Tartufo Crudo (flat pasta in truffle cream sauce topped with parma ham). We also had Panna Cotta paired with Macchiato for dessert. The Bianca Pizza was so good! They didn't skimp on the cheese (ricotta, gorgonzola, mozzarella) and prosciutto. Both Ravioli Porcini and Tagliatelle Di Tartufo Crudo were equally good as well although we would recommend to substitute either of the two for a pasta with a red sauce instead. Two creamy white sauce pasta dishes were too much for our taste buds and we started to feel heavy midway our meal. Good thing that the panna cotta was light and not too sweet. TIP: When ordering two pastas, you can ask them to put half of both pastas in one plate. We had half of Ravioli Porcini and half of Tagliatelle Di Tartufo Crudo in each of our plates. The downside is it would look a bit strange so you may want to reconsider if you're going to take pretty pictures for your instagram/blog.

A long established intimate Italian restaurant in Legaspi Village, Makati although the bright lighting detracted from the intimacy a little. On the night we visited a number of items from the menu were not available despite it being a Friday night and having had them on previous occasions. It would be useful if their unavailability were indicated on the menu if only to save embarrassment. The menu is not extensive. Prices are reasonable, P500 for pasta dishes up to P1350 for a small steak. The dishes we had ranged from salad, pasta, seafood to steak, all well prepared and agreeably pleasant. Service staff were attentive and friendly. A three piece band of two guitarists and female vocalist serenaded diners and played requests.
