IKMF Krav Maga is a self-defense system that is very practical and uses effective teaching methods. It's also very fun and shows you that you can defend yourself in a very simple yet deadly manner but don't get too scared to join the class since the training is safe and done in a scientific manner. I used to train in a striking art as well as a grappling art but those moves that I was using/learning before looked puny and inefficient once I've seen the techniques of Krav Maga. I highly recommend this to Everyone. (if you're a man, you should learn how to defend yourself and your family; and for women training in Krav Maga will not only arm you with self-defense skills but will provide you important psychological lessons as well to avoid deadly situations)
