The perfect place to stay in shape and ro enjoy nature. You will be able to see a breathtaking view of Magat Dam, Magat River and a far view of some parts of Isabela. Be sure to bring a good amount of water while you up the stairs as it will definitely make you feel thirsty! I also love the landscape and flowers along the stairs when you're already near the peak. I would advise though to put more trash cans along the pathways since some people doesn't have any discipline with their trash.
One of the newest tourist attractions in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao is the 1000 steps eco-park. This park features roughly about 1000 steps from entrance to summit (1000 feet above sea level; 497-meter pathway), offering a generous view of Magat Dam, Magat River, and nearby Ramon, Isabela. Cottages and huts are also available for rent (from P50-100), just ask the staff at the registration area. It is the perfect spot for you to exercise while enjoying this man-made marvel. They charge an environmental fee of P20 (adults) and P10 (students). They are open from 0600 H to 1630 H daily.
Better accessed via Alfonso Lista-Isabela Boundary Road, or Burgos Gen. Aguinaldo Road right at Camp Vizcara access road (rougher Road). The place itself has the amazing views of Magat Dam. There are several picnic huts near the summit, an easy climb for beginner since it is just a short hike. Bring your valid ID to show at the checkpoint and pay 20 pesos for the environmental fee.
Very nice place to unwind.
