I was T.A.D. (Temporary Assigned Duty) their as a U.S. Marine attached to the U.S. Special Forces, to help train and build a great working environment with the Philippine Special Forces and regular Army. I was honored to train with our Friends in the Philippines, and made many friends there. Sgt. Santiago took me on many historical tours of the area, and the lovely people of the Philippines happily shared their knowledge of wilderness survival, Art, and their Culture. If you have the chance to visit this historical place... DO IT! The people are wonderful, and the Country is beautiful. ️

I had the greatest time at Fort Magsaysay, PI. Our reserved unit did cross training with the PI Army. Balakatan 2012 Every aspect was an eye opening experience. The food, the people, the wonderful culture and an overall humbling experience. I would definitely return. .....as a civilian. Below is a contribution that I created to show my appreciation.
