Before going up, trekkers must attend 15 minute orientation here. Learn it from the experts and help protect Mt Pulag for the future mountain climbers, the locals who depend on it and the environment as a whole. Let's all be responsible hikers/campers.

Accommodating staff ️ You have to log in pay for fees then medical check up is required. For first timer, watching a short video is required. Then orientation proper. Do's and dont's will be discussed. They have souvenir items as well.

On rare occasions you visit a government office where the employees enjoy their jobs this is one of them. We had to stop by for an orientation seminar prior to climbing Mt. Pulag. There are several stores nearby where you can do last minute shopping for climbing necessities and souvenirs.

The worth protected area management and hiking system DENR is not doing anything for the protected area, it is just extorting the money of foreigners tourist. The bureau opens only at 8 in the morning, if you planned to hike before (which is the most logical to do while it is hot and rainy in the afternoon) good luck to pass the check point and get some help from the locals. Then the biggest joke ever : you need a medical certificate to do the hike (do you travel with your medical certificate) well i don’t so here comes the extortion : you need to go to the village medic (another joke) pay him to have the medical certificate and the then pay the entrance fee 1000 pesos (pure extortion) and then rent a motorbike (Money) and then a guide(money). If you feel you had a experience close to the nature I personally feel I had an experience close to my wallet
