General Vicente Lukban was the general that Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo (President) assigned in Samar after the Pact of Biak-na-Bato and became the politico military chief if Samar and Leyte. Camp Lukban was established on August 1, 1988 to serve as the headquarters of the 8th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army and is known officially as the Stormtroopers Division.
