Definitely one of the highlights of my Calamian Group of Islands tour. It feels like you are in Africa. When you visit here don’t forget to try the Giraffe feeding and visit the small zoo of some of the endemic animals of Palawan

It is a novelty for people who haven't visited another safari but could be disappointing for the those who expects a lot. It takes some time to travel towards the venue from the common landmarks and you have to cross a body of water towards the island. Upon arrival, you either wait for the bus or you walk for around 10minutes going inside the enclosed area. You can find only giraffes, zebras and the calamian deers around. Getting further inside, you can find boa constrictor, a pair of monkeys, civet cats and porcupines.
I wish there are more animals !!! (Philippine animals) if there is, i think it would attack more tourist !!! The entire island was declared as wildlife sanctuary on 1977.... The remaining few animals living here now are all island born
TOURIST SPOT: Calauit Safari Entrance: P500 HOW TO GET HERE: 1.5 hours from Coron Town. via Motorcycle; can be rented @ P400/8hrs via Private Van; can be rented @ P4.5k good for 14pax Boat Ride @ P500 RT good for 6pax THINGS YOU CAN DO HERE: Some snaps with free to roam Zebras, Giraffes and Deers. Feeding them leaves. Chasing deers. (if you can) While taking a boat ride going to Calauit Island, I saw many deadly Box Jellyfish. Sometimes two or three jellyfish in one small area. That was also my first time to see big box jellyfishes. The tourism also said that touching them is fatal. A thing that you dont want to encounter in your lifetime.
GIRAFFFFFFEEEE there are so cute and they are all good it mean people there are taking care of them well.
Park program: 1. Giraffe (you can feed them) - pretty cool 2. Zebras - not bad 3. Small crocodiles, monkey, porcupine and couple other animals in cages - very bad, like a poor zoo, not safari. As a result, safari is very poor, but attraction with feeding giraffes is cool. To go or not, up to you...
very nice place.
Feel free to feed the giraffe in here because they love it too. I recommend this place if you love to bond with giraffes because you will be able to hug them. As I captioned in one of my photos, I never thought that people and giraffes can be close as shown on the attached photo.
