Sitting there along the road in Libona, I saw a sign: “Home of the Cowboys”. Next thing you know, I am on a random trek up a ridge! Following signs to “Cowboy Camp”, I arrived at this beautiful hut overlooking the valley. And as I arrived, there was a man eating popcorn and drinking sikwate. But it wasn’t just any man... Turns out he was a National Rodeo Champion!! Kenneth Ramonal, a local legend in Libona Bukidnon... He has won the famous Masbate Rodeo many times! Amazing how I was just sitting there enjoying some popcorn and local hot chocolate with one of the best cowboys in the country. Not to mention the trek up to this magical “Cowboy Camp” was only thirty minutes, and full of stunning views. If you think the Philippines is beaches and coconuts... Watch out!!! You might just find yourself sharing a cup of sikwate with a humble cowboy... Northern Mindanao #SadhamAliyar
