Dos Mestizos is a great, classy restaurant located near station 1. It’s quiet, but right off the main road. They have a wide wine selection. It’s a great place for dinner with friends or for a nice date. The staff is excellent.

So many great tapas and food. The service was so fast and such a great place. The photo is mostly of empty dishes because they were gone before I could take a photo. 10 outta 10.
I and my group appreciates being accommodated without a reservation. The receptionist (also the owner's son) was super courteous. The meseras were very friendly. Food was superb especially the gambas and lengua dishes. Excellent service I just don't particularly like restos not offering free service water. Had to pay Php 180 for a bottled water. Plus, ambience was broken when 2 toddlers started crying like crazy. Not my idea for a relaxing dinner with friends..
Dos Mestizos serves good Spanish food. We had Paella Negra, Lengua, Salpicao, and Gambas. The Lengua was particularly delicious. The rest was good, but not excellent like those in Alba's or Casa Armas in Manila. CAUTION: This place is EXPENSIVE, be it Boracay or Manila standards. Our group of six had to share some four or five dishes, including the medium-sized paella and EVEN PAID FOR DRINKING WATER AT PHP 180 (4) for a liter. All in all, we paid over PHP6,000 (130) for a meal that really didn't leave us full. Servings were quite small, like the gambas had less than 10 shrimps, and salpicao had like 10 to 12 cubes of beef. Not sure how this restaurant pulls it off force charging customers to buy water and not having free service water to diners who pay for supposedly premium food and service. If other restaurants and hotels of similar caliber are able to serve free service water, which is required by law by the way, then Dos Mestizos should do the same. But if you don't mind paying for water and willing to spend more than your usual dine outs, go ahead and dine in this restaurant, if only for the lengua, and maybe cochinillo, which some say is quite good. I still hope this restaurant considers serving free service water, this is the least they could do to diners shelling out some extra cost for premium dishes.
Amazing spanish place. All the tapas are amazing but make sure you get the prawns and dip the bread in it. You'll love it!
