It is located right in the middle of the town. Very accessible. It was surrounded by a bazaar when I was there and this obstructed my visit and the full view of the tower. The history was intriguing but no further description or history was written or provided. We did enjoy some cheap eat at the bazaar and green mangoes while we were there.

Very nice to view a piece of history, was not able to view inside but just a short walk from most areas including Aurora park, and the jeepney will drop you off right in front if you are coming from the outskirts of town for less than 20p. Very beautiful sight to see. Very close to the jeepney station too for your ride back

This tower shows you the baroque style of architecture used by the Spaniards in constructing the tower. Unfortunately, the area was so commercialized making it hard to grasp a good picture of the tower.

Leaning tower of Pisa has a little cousin in this Philippine city of Laoag. It sinks every year, they say.

Great Photo Op during the night! Too bad tourists arent allowed inside anymore to preserve the tower's structural integrity.

You cannot miss this spot while walking or roving in downtown Laoag. It is a bell tower adjacent to St. William's Cathedral and is sinking. Few years ago, we were able to get inside the tower and climb up. However, the planks were already rotten then and the plaster (cement?) on the walls were falling. So the city decided not to allow tourists inside due to safety issues.

What you see in the photo is what you see there. It is very accessible, we really just stop there to take a photo and that's all.

Misc & Extras

The tower is very old. I'm not sure what the purpose of the tower if it used as the bell of the church since it is more than 100 meters away or it was used to monitor the area during that time, like the Bantay bell that serve as a watch tower for pirates before. It has a good design that can capture your attention when you were passing.
