My partner and I loved our stay at Gilligans in Jan2020!! This is a gorgeous, isolated beach; the house is spacious, very comfortable, with beautiful solid wood furniture, a relaxing varanda and garden. The staff are nice, and the food they prepare is delicious! A MUST TRY if you are looking for a little piece of paradise in Port Barton, away from the buzz. The hike to the waterfall nearby is also great! And if you have a chance to meet and chat with the host, then you're in for a TREAT ! Mal really knows how to make you feel at home right away! We totally recommend this experience!!

Great place to spend some relaxing time
My experience at Gilligans was amazing! Mal and Mich were exceptional hosts. They both went out of their way to ensure I had the most amazing experience. Their little slice of heaven truly is something special. Peaceful and beautiful serenity. My highlight was the phosphorescence and shooting stars of a night, simply incredible! Great destination. I highly recommend Gilligans at Port Barton!
It is a fantastic beach and no light pollution at night so you can really see the stars.
Paradise found at Gilligans in Port Barton. You will not be disappointed!!!! Beautiful, relaxing and amazing location. Staff was great, food was awesome. Hope to be back again!
Mal, thank you for your response, but 4 was not because of road, your house was the 3rd we stayed at Palawan and roads to all houses were even worse than we went to Port Barton, I put lower grade of location because of water and beach that comparing to other beaches and houses we were, this did not have much clear water as others and had jelly fishes, but its nothing you can do, but its my opinion and rate comparing to three different locations, also regarding cats we mentioned to Erica, but not sure what she able to do about it again, unless she will stand middle of the night by house and scare the cats:), thats a nature. Every person has right to write they opinion what they think and as I noticed you did not like critisism. Thank you for sharing your villa, we had a good stay in there.
We just spend wonderfull 2 weeks in this paradise and can fully recommend. Accomodation is great, clean and directly at the beach. Kitchen is fully equiped, so you can prepare meals by yourself or ask housekeeper (Erika) to prepare it for you (Ericas curry is best I every had). Erica and her team is very kind and great, she arraged everything we asked for (boat trips, extra food, car pickups etc.) Beach is amazing and actually just for you, we met only few people during our stay. Also there is a possibility to use kayaks (part of the house) to explore nearby beaches (higly recomend) We never visited same location twice, but we definitelly want to return to Giligans someday.
We've been to Villa Marguerita and Giligans last October and it was awesome!!!Caretakers from both houses were caring and great... Mal was very nice and accommodating to us. Food was really good and people were so friendly!!! We loved our stay at both guest houses but most particularly in Giligans. The place was so quiet and relaxing!!! We used to stay at the front beach each night for stargazing. It was a great feeling. Watching the beautiful dark sky was amazing!!!
