Great great great trail riding in Metro Manila!!! Was very impressed with the horses! Not Baguio horses at all. They were actually ex Polo and Riding horses. Had a great time. And very nice owner. Wish him the best. Can't wait for the 4 hour trail ride to the river!

This camping spot is located in Brgy. Silangan San Mateo Rizal and is not far from metro Manila. The elevation of the place is more of less 300 meters so you will have a great view of the metro manila city lights at night. They have ATV rentals with very challenging ride experience. Two crew will guide you on the muddy rough road. There is a restaurant, nice comfort room and spacious campsite.

It is a very accessible place that offers a quick getaway from the stressful city life. The campground offers a great vista of metro manila. It is quite a challenge to identify the different places of the metro from this viewpoint. It was cloudy in the afternoon so we didn't get a view of the sunset, but at late night lights became vivid when the smog lifted. In the morning we were treated with the melodious songs of a pair of black-naped oriole. Other birds darting in the bush include yellow vented bulbul, brown shrike, wood swallow, and coucal. There are also swiftlets and egret in V formation flying by. The campground is still under construction and there are signs of soil erosion. Runoff also pass through the campground. There is a chance that the tents will get flooded when there is heavy rain. Hopefully they will plant more grass and other vegetation to control erosion and provide proper slope drainage. Thankfully there is strong water flow in the CR but there is an electric wire on the floor that gets wet when we took a bath. This is obviously a safety concern that must be addressed immediately to avoid electrocution. Although at the time of our visit the staff assured us that there is no current in that wire. But still you'll never know when accident happens. At the time of our visit the number of visitors is controlled due to the pandemic but I imagine that the one CR is not enough when the place is at full capacity which I heard is 4 groups of campers with 4-6 persons per group. Most of the guests parked their vehicle along the narrow access road but there is a private lot that offers a pay parking, P50 for overnight. They have a horse under training. They shouldn't let the horse trample the camping ground because its hooves make small craters. It will make sleeping in the tent uncomfortable. We felt really recharged when we left the next day.
