Cold and clear fresh water! Another must visit when you are in Tanay Rizal. For DIY travel, it is a long rocky, dusty road going to the Barangay Daraitan. From Tanay SuperMarket we took jeepney going to Sampaloc. 45mins travel. Fare is Php 28 per person. Then we took tricycle from sampaloc to brgy. Daraitan for 35mins that will cost Php500. Before you start the trek, having a tour guide is mandatory. Head to Brgy. Daraitan first to pay your tourism fee and they will assign a tour guide for your group. The guide will orient you on the rules and how the trek will be. Riding a tricycle to the start of the trekking point is also an option, we refuse to walk 1hr so we ride the trike that cost Php60. Bring some food too if you prefer to walk the trail to Tinipak River. 20mins walk to reach the Rizal-Quezon border. REGISTRATION FEES: (mandatory fees) Tourism Fee Php100 Tour Guide (mandatory) Php500 (day tour) and Php1,250 (overnight) Barangay fee for Rizal-Quezon border Php20 / per person

The area is clean and so is the cold running water. It's always relaxing to hear the sound of the running water. Going there is an inexpensive way of enjoying the nature.

The place was very amazing ... Just be sure to wear your sandals tho when going swimming and trying to go over the other side of the river, the floor area can be hurtful to your feet especially when you just came from the hike of Mt. Daraitan . There's a part that the current is strong so be careful when crossing the river or swimming towards the middle. The tour guide will inform you if it is safe to swim because there are times that the current is too strong that even on the side is not safe to swim. There's a safe place to refresh yourself tho, it's a half knee-deep water bed on the side where the spring water came from, and there's a mini falls too. The water on that part is cold .

It was an easy hike to the river where you could see a lot limestone formations. Water was really fresh. If you actually have more energy, you can climb up Mt. Daraitan and go inside a cave.

Tinipak River at Mt. Daraitan will give you the magnificent feeling. Tinipak River, a hidden paradise in Brgy. Daraitan in Tanay, Rizal, was awarded as the cleanest inland body of water in Region IV. Reaching this destination requires patience and endurance in trekking giant trails of rock, making Tinipak River a perfect getaway for those who love outdoor adventure. So prepare your stamina with enormous effort for going up and down toward giant trail of rocks but walking by the river with lush green trees and hearing the rippling sound of it will surely keep you going. From giant boulders to tranquil and cool river water, this place has everything you need to enjoy an adrenaline-filled weekend. I would always be thankful to witness a precious God given nature that would always leave a mark in my heart.
