Read and write reviews about Tronche de Vie Documentary. ‘’Tronche de vie’’ is a web TV series, with each episode introducing a character and learning more by through certain, interesting parts of his life. Throughout the episode, the viewers will discover more about this person through narratives of his job, lifestyle, and most importantly, his passion. These are all people we simply encounter in the streets, the kind that you easily overlook yet have the most captivating story to tell. We see the world through their eyes, their hopes and dreams, their reason for doing what they do. Why does Jimmy sell his Balls? Why is Omar is using Tap dance as a form of self-expression? Why is Marie helping street children get an education? How does Hannah live her religion in a Catholic country? How does Carlos use art to change peoples’ perspectives? Why is Valentin painting all over the world? This series is not a sad, tearful documentation, but an optimistic take on the lives of these characters. Tronche de vie aims to enlighten viewers, open their minds, and change existing perspectives to a positive point Tronche de vie is a play on the French words “tronche” which translates to face, and “Tranche de vie” which means “slice of life”. We all have a purpose here on earth, and this series shares the compelling stories of these characters and the good that they offer to the world. In our next episodes, we will introduce a French Break dancer who uses his disability to become a world champion, a deaf street vendor who sells peanuts to make a living, a rooster trainer for cockfights in Tagaytay/Mendez, and a homeless man who paints for survival in the streets of Manila. All existing episodes have been shot presenting locals and foreigners in the Philippines. The next series will take place in France and Thailand, and eventually across the globe. We believe there is more Tronche de Vie to discover in the world.
