I'm rating House of Mantou 5 stars because the food that we ate there was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Also, I like the ambience. Even though it's on the busy Quezon Avenue, it doesn't feel like it when you're inside. We enjoyed their fried rice, choice cold cuts, dumplings, and stir-fried kangkong stems which was a surprise. It has that crunch and bit of spiciness to it that we all love, perfect for balancing the heavy Chinese cuisine. Also, it didn't take a long time for our orders to be cooked, and we went out of the restaurant very full. It was a nice, slightly casual Chinese dining experience. I think they also do deliveries.

Special Mixed Congee had very fresh ingredients: shrimp, squid, fish, and chicken. I really enjoyed the shrimps and squid in particular. Mixing everything with some kalamansi and soy sauce is a good move. Refills and service time were quick. Place is pretty family-friendly. Make sure to try any Mantou.

Finally got to try it as it’s a Sunday afternoon and lo and behold, there’s a place to park the car. So we’re trying an old favorite, sliced pork congee with century egg. The place interior design is cozy and well laid out. The toilet’s clean.
