Miss Flores

Even the bad weather last Sunday didn't stop us from going outside to look for ramen to warm our empty stomachs. Good thing, Ippudo branch out in Rockwell. Finally, a branch closer to our place. There was a long queue when we arrived but the turn-over was so fast, so waiting wasn't an issue. We had Akamaru Special, Karaka Special and Okonomiyaki. We started with Okonomiyaki. It looks beautiful and appetizing. The uniqueness of this dish blown us away. It was our first time to see an Okonomiyaki with Tender Chashu on top. Great job on this. The taste was pretty good. For the ramen, Ippudo's broth was light and tasty. We didn't like much their broth. The noodles were too thin for me. The chashu was tender and delicious. Their ramen may be good but not the best out there. Customer service was excellent from the frontman to the server. They're so alert and very attentive. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Totally not a ramen person, so I had their Ishiyaki Beef Rice Bowl which was the best rice bowl I had in my life. Was never a fan of mayonaise but I love their pork bun with Japanese mayonaise. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food waiting time is also reasonable.

Love this place. Awesome Ramen and Baos! I usually get the tantanmen but today it wasn't available so I tried the Lunch set for 390php. It was fantastic! Great value and lots of flavour and variety.

If I were to choose the best ramen house in the city, it would be Ippudo no else. The serving may look very delicate, very Japanese, but the flavor is so rich and very flavorful...just the right mix. The serving is not so in-your-face that you can drown but very filling. Match this with their gyoza and your satisfaction will be met! Go over to Powerplant or for a less crowded venue, hit Century City Mall...
