I love taking the train whenever I have to travel long distances. Its easier if you have the nap which you can always download online. However when taking the train, you must always be aware of pick pockets. I once had my blue card and petty cash stolen in the rush. At times, you may find fewer passengers hence you sit comfortably through your trip however, most times there's always a huge crowd as the Philippines is usually highly populated in the cities. Hence if you sing fast enough , then you will find yourself standing through most of the trip especially in the evening when everyone is rushing to get home after the day's hustle. The staff are very fast and efficient. They are also very nice and the security is superb. Overall I will rate the staff 5 stars because they are very friendly and helpful if you need direction or any concerns. You will also find food at some entry and exit points just in case you need to top up. The card machines are most times very effective however always ensure the person in front of you have crossed the iron barrier before you tag your card else you may find yourself in a somewhat embarrassing situation . Finally if you have no sit, dont worry you are not alone. Just enjoy the fun of standing. If you have a bag or luggage, always hold it in front of you throughout the journey.

Because it's still under repair, the busy streets before where so quite now. But soon if operations will be ok then things will be back to normal again, let's wait patiently& understand for now it is for our safety.

From Manila to Santolan Station, it will not be a hassle to get to every stations. The train is quite fast, well that's because it is the only type of train I ever tried __. It has pathways or shortcuts where you can just get to another location you want. Many persons are helpful too. So far, Santolan is one of the biggest stations among all stop overs we visited. The best day to try the train experience, if you are like me from Mindanao, is during holidays and weekends. It will definitely give you space and comfort. ;)

Train intervals are approx. 7-10 minutes. Pretty substandard. But what's new? They recently modernized the elevators. As per their twitter page, they will also modernize the escalators. I complained about it but they swiftly replied they have plans of renovating.

Santolan is the last station of LRT Line 2. From here, the extension to Masinag, Antipolo will soon be completed.

Long ques in the morning. Looking forward to the line extension and 2 new stations at Felix and Masinag. Rail superstructure almost completed but still have rail and utilities to run. The new stations have not even started construction. (Feb 2017)
