APPEND is a not-for profit, non-government organization and non-stock development organization whose primary aim is to reduce poverty by transforming lives, strengthening families and communities. APPEND is the first and one of the largest groups of Christian Development NGOs in the Philippines. It counts as member the first microfinance-oriented thrift bank in the country. APPEND benefits the poor households by serving them with microenterprise development (MED), character development and values transformation program, education, health and nutrition and eco-friendly community-driven projects. APPEND facilitates the growth and viability of its eleven (11) partner organizations with operations all throughout the Philippines to assist the Filipino poor families attain better lives. Based on the principle that each one has God-given ability and capability to create wealth, APPEND has been creating opportunities for the poor to use these abilities to escape poverty and establish better lives for themselves and their families. As of June 2010, the APPEND group has reached over two million poor people nationwide. And since the Kingdom of God is a kingdom of expansion not limitation, the APPEND family plans to grow its client base to 5 million poor households by 2015. This expansion plan is not for fame nor fortune but for the less priveleged Filipino households to experience the fullness of life that God intends for them.
