If your looking for a little bit of luxury for a very reasonable price then this is the tour for you. I did the Oslob whale watching tour. From the very start when i arrived to the beach to catch the connecting boat to what I can only say is the biggest boat in the area. The professionalism of this company is evident from the life vests provided to the uniformed staff. They are also one of the only boat companies that actually has a licence to visit Oslob. My trip started at 6am & as we set sail breakfast was being cooked for us. The journey to oslob took us about 1.5 hours & in the meantime we listened to music, used the on-board wifi and enjoyed the super comfy sun loungers. Arriving in Oslob was a super smooth experience as this is the only boat company that offers the whale orientation onboard as all other boats you need to go on land with the officials so this saves you a lot of time. Swimming with the whale sharks is a once in a lifetime experience that’s not to be missed the full face snorkels that were provided by the company are super high quality & made for amazing underwater whale watching. On the way back via the picturesque Sumilon Island we were treated to fantastic barbecued food with free draft beer. The jacuzzi was ready for us & made for a super enjoyable ride back. If you looking for a great experience with a company that’s super professional then Martin & his team will look after you very well, make sure you have the best day. What a tourist trap is the Whale shark watching! Boat has to little seats for all the people amd the jacuzzi didn't have water. Snorkling gear was broken and old lifevests to swim with the Whale Sharks (lots of people in the water as well). Snorking place with turtles was closed due to cleaning day they said. But it turned out it is almost always closed (the people want to make it a sanctuary). Boat broke down and everybody got seasick and therefor they cancelled the snorkling. There was no refund or alternative.

We booked DreamCat for a private trip for 21 people from Bohol to Oslob. The yacht was really nice - there’s no doubt about it. Everything was new, the yacht was spacious and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the food that they catered for 21 pax was not enough. When the breakfast was served. Some of my cousins didn’t manage to eat scrambled eggs and sausages because there was nothing left for them even though everyone just started eating. They said they don’t have refill anymore. What happened to the “unli food and alcohol” that they promised a night before? Lunch was served and there were no signs of Shrimps — another promise made by the owner. They served a small portion of tiny grilled fish fillets instead. Other dishes were all pork. No variety - no vegetables/salad for the vegetarians, no chicken viand and no desserts. At 9:30 am, we arrived in Oslob. We came to know that DreamCat didn’t prearrange the local guides & small boats to come pick us up from the yacht to come close to the whale sharks (mandatory if you want to swim with the whale sharks). Of only we could jump from the yacht and swim to the whale sharks, we would. Hence, we traveled 2-3 hours to Oslob. We waited onboard the yacht for another 2 hours. Noon time came, still no local guides and the Whale shark Watching already closed. We left Oslob without having to swim with the whale sharks. They took us to Balicasag for snorkeling as their service recovery. Lols
