Place has a homey feeling and a balcony to relax on, if you choose the 3rd floor. Master's bedroom is spacious. Service is great. Staffs are very accommodating and the manager/caretaker offers tours for an affordable price. There's even a fire extinguisher in case of emergency. Although the place is not so high, one has to walk up the stairs without handle, so if you have PWDs/Seniors they might have difficulty entering and leaving the place. The water pressure on the shower needs drastic improvement. Vanity faucet's water has more pressure. The faucet was loose and had to be epoxied by the caretaker. The blankets were thin at first. But they replaced them with thicker sets upon our request. Lacks cooking equipment such as microwave, rice cooker, electric kettle and exhaust fan. Need more spoon & fork for serving. Laundry service charge is P300. Place is a little far off the main road which makes it hard to catch a tricycle especially at dawn if you have a flight. Better ask the caretaker for a ride if you must.

Star ratings are difficult to assess. A 3 star place in Paris will be very much different than a 3 star place in say Mandalay. If you really want comfort in Asia then it's best to 5 star hotels. Personally I've always enjoyed 'touching the heart' locally. Anabelle Residence is good value mainly because of the truly hospitable staff. Quick response and the value of being understood. The bridge to Hypermarket is being totally reconstructed but in daylight they will allow you across depending on what their doing The walk took me 8 minutes and a further 12 minutes to Robinson Plaza. Also walking distance to central Duma, the central wet market and the Boulevard. AR WiFi is stable and quick. Shower fittings are a bit complicated to operate but I had good pressure once I new the correct way. ( Need to say the fixtures are EU design ). Bedding is good. Kitchen needs work but ok. The end result is AR might be considered a little tired. But it's a notch above other places in the city where I've stayed for similar prices. Just remember this is not Paris.

Good location, clean and spacious apartment. Air con in one bedroom was not work very well.
