Pretty decent layout and fairways but the greens and bunkers need to be improved. Not much sand in the bunkers. But its a good design that would be better if there were more people playing so that they club would have money to renovate.

I am a direct descendant of Edward Earl Russell, the founder of Vicmico Golf Course and Country Club. The original blue prints for the last expansion he supervised are still hanging on my office wall. While I have not yet had the privilege to play this course, I make a priority to have the chance to visit the place my Uncle cherished the most - Vicmico was his pride and joy, and he so enjoyed playing this course. I should also add that my Uncle was the Executive VP of Vicmico Milling Company, and built this course for the employees. He opened the country club using his own money and hosted the Russell Golf Tournament every year. I am happy to see the course is still being played. My Uncle would be proud.
