I was tired, my feet were killing me, and I definitely needed a strong cup of coffee. I was having a streetside bananacue and flippantly asked the vendor if she had brewed coffee. I was having my rueful laugh when I looked across the road. Lo and behold, Eng Ho Bakeshop! I had an Americano for 80 Pesos (1.60), a nice seat, a clean and cool environment, and a clean toilet. We had the place all to ourselves (a buddy and I). Pass!

My parents had frequented this establishment since I was just a toddler. I grew up enjoying the food that we bought here especially their best seller Vanilla Chiffon Cake which is a classic. I just wonder if they still have those gelatin bars they used to sell that me & my elder sister used to love when we were kids. I miss that soft, savory, sweet taste of the gelatin which you cannot find anywhere else. I hope they still have that. Im super excited and looking forward to visiting and trying them again very soon. Its been yeeeeaaaars!!!
