We are a humanitarian organization that provides monetary scholarships to deserving out-of-school youth, who all come from financially-challenged families. The scholarship covers a one-and-a-half-year vocational & technical training at any Don Bosco Training Center in the Philippines at the scholar’s own choice. Working Hands began as a program by the Young Upbeat Professionals for Peace (YUPPEACE), a faith community of young professionals founded in 1994 for the 10th World Youth Day held in the Philippines. It was formalized as an independent organization in October of 1996 and, since then, has served over 700 scholars.
