One of the busiest stations of this light railway transit line. The trackways are below ground while the passenger concourse is above street level where there are stairways and escalators connecting riders to the street levels. There are also footbridges connecting commuters to the Ayala Center and beyond such as the Makati Central Business District, via Dela Rosa Elevated Walkway, passing thru SM Makati and Glorietta malls during mall hours.

When not rush hour, it's not so bad. I've never had the broken train or derailed train experience, so I can't totally dismiss it. Useful for getting one from one end of EDSA to the other end. But every rush hour experience is horrid, to say the least. People are generally hot tempered, the AC can't handle the crowd, the cars are packed like sausages, and the transit authority somehow don't think to increase the frequency of cars during rush hour. This train system seriously needs improvement to accommodate this overpopulated metropolis' harassed population

So this is the most crowded station every rush hour. Alongside with most of the people alighting here coming from either cubao or north avenue. As of now. Still a crowded station and sometimes you will get a skip train if it's possible (rail works at taft avenue is undergoing to it's rare) Some side notes Always be on your guard. As i have a experience of actually getting into a fight with a random passenger trying to force himself inside even if he cannot fit. And i would clearly like to remind all of the passengers not to force themselves or punch someone cause he or she got inside. Because you can't even do anything about that. Also if it's full, you could choose to take line 1 and either go straight to Roosevelt if your going north or go down at doroteo jose and transfer to recto station if your going east.

There are only few ventilation on this station so I suggest for the commuter to wear a more breathable/comfortable clothes.

MRT ayala station. One of the major mrt stations so expect a lot of people since this is link to makati businesa district, sm and ayala malls.

One of the busiest station, connected to many commercial establishments. Needs wider/more stairs from EDSA northbound side sidewalk.

The entrance towards the McKinley exchange building is so narrow and gets tighter when rush hour begins. Lack of air-conditioning as well makes the place uncomfortable to hang out or wait but you have no choice if the MRT line is the best route for you.

Ayala is one of the busiest MRT stations. Most people that alight and/or ride at this station are going/from to Makati Central Business District and BGC. The station is adjacent to SM Makati which is then connected to the rest of the malls in Ayala center. Right inside the stations are several shops that sell ready to eat food, clothing and phone accessories, basic services auch as skincare, a pharmacy etc. The bus terminal of The Fort Bus where one can ride a bus going to BGC is also just beside this station. During peak hours, the place is very crowded and crowd control might be in effect to control the number of people inside the station.
