Looks newly renovated. Terminal area has enough seats for waiting passengers. With functional xray scanners and TV inside. Though not air-conditioned, it has a huge electric fan. K9 units are also seen patrolling the area. While we were there, they had some activity too perhaps a photo ops. Souvenir items are also found inside. Out side the gate is a seven eleven store. Just one thing, ferries should ply more often from lipata to southern leyte. Port should be rennovated to accomodate more people.

Organized ferry terminal compared to San Ricardo.

We arrived just in time for loading. Then it was short one-hour ferry crossing to San Ricardo Port, Brgy. Benit, San Ricardo, Southern Leyte.

The luggage checking was appropriate and straight forward. Scanners were working. They offer free WiFi but they give wrong passwords to you. Staff were friendly thought. Badjaos are present in the port on a fair weather. You can throw coins and they’ll dive deep to catch it.

Small yet clean and tidy. The floors are properly maintained. Rest rooms are both clean and smells good. Passenger friendly since waiting or boarding area are fixed well. Tourist friendly because charging station are well provided. Keep up the good work Lipata Port Terminal.
