I guess I visited MacArthur Statue 3 times already... Uncle Kemp...thank you for dropping everytime I visit Leyte, and let me enjoy this area for a moment. All memories are kept. And the next time I will visit this place again you are always in my heart. Never forgotten.
This is a very important historical site in the Philippines. It is also the largest urban public park around Tacloban City. Sadly, it was totally unkept and not properly maintained. I hope the provincial government will do something about it but it's not surprising if they don't.
The beauty and vibe in this place is pure. I can say that it is a good spot for recreational activities/ good cycling destinations. It’s worth it.
One of the best historical landmarks and surely one of the most important events of our history. The view is amazing, the over all experience is amazing. Without the efforts of General MacArthur to keep his promise of returning, the country would not be the same.
