Our family of 6 went there recently to get our passports renewed and get new ones for the 2 youngest children. The DFA office opens at 10am, but the lines outside the office can get long very fast. Best to get the application forms online and filled-up and ALL the requirements (including photocopies of the documents) indicated in the DFA website ready, to ensure that you will be finished as soon as possible. There are photocopier's available inside the office you can avail for a fee of Php3.00 per page. They are very strict with the requirements so bring complete documents! Minor children need to bring their school ID's aside from the other requirements. The processing itself was very fast, so the earlier your documents will be submitted the faster you will be finished. The processor works very efficiently, one lady processor assigned to us to take pictures, when it was our our 13 months old turn, when she saw him with wounds on his nose, she told us to put concealer on them to hide them, otherwise we have to present a medical certificate each time we show his passport in our travels. Or we can go back some other time when his wounds were completely gone. But we opted to look for a concealer rather than go back another time. Since they only have Monday to Fridays schedule for getting of new passport or renewal. When his wound was covered up, the lady processor was quick enough to take out her phone playing nursery rhymes in front of our son so he will look straight in the camera. Pick-up of passports which is cheaper than being delivered to your house, can be done between 2-4pm, Mondays to Saturday, starting at 14 days after processing. You need to go out of the DFA office and use the mall's CR though.
