The back of the Mayor Luis Capito Cultural Stage started to come alive with colors in July 2015 as local artists painted murals depicting what makes the Borongan Culture. The stage, along with the plaza, have long been the venue of cultural activities like the Padul-ong Festivalon Sept 8, and the Marching Band Competition and Lechon Parade on Sept 6 that commenced in 2011, both done in time for the Borongan Fiesta in celebration of its Patron Saint, the Nativity of Our Lady, on September 8.
