You can usually find something that brings you back in time that will make you smile. I often find myself how hard to understand and of how we perceive the truth; how we are willing to accept the truth or reject it in order to give ourselves peace of mind when confronted about what President Marcos did. All i can say is that i dont give a ... All i know i believe what i choose to believe. The place is a memorabilia indeed.

Been here with my wife from our pagudpud escapade. It is called Ferdinand E. Marcos Presidential Center located in Batac town. A Big white concrete building called the "World Peace Center" can be found almost beside the mausoleum. It has many interesting artifacts and memorabilia of the family. Unfortunately we were not able to see the preserved body of the former president as it has now gone to be burried elsewhere. Still worth a visit when you pass by batac town

This is a nice place if you want to know more about the late president Marcos. It discusses his origin, educational attainment, military achievements, political career, and even his love life. Though there is a lot of room for improvement.

Didn't actually know much of Ferdinand Marcos aside from his greatest offenses but after spending some time in this place I have to admit I see him in another light now, half in awe, half in wonder. Another one to feed the nerd bug in you.

There was a nice retired schoolteacher who attached herself to my wife and I and insisted on being our guide though the exhibits are simple to follow and self explanatory. At the end she asked for a tip and I peeled off 200 Piso for her trouble. Then she actually asked for ANOTHER 100 because she wanted to go to Jolibee for lunch! Needless to say her unprofessional attitude was off putting This museum tells the life story of President Ferdinand Marcos...but conveniently omits the later years of greed, human rights violations, torture, murder and dictatorship. Marcos was obviously an intelligent man, a persuasive and brilliant orator and no doubt he started with the best of intentions for the Philippines. But something went awry along the way. Whether it was greed, money, power or the influence of his wife, Imelda, his latter years as President are a dark stain on the Philippines and something the country has not recovered from till today. None of this is shown here.
