The port is the main gateway to Basilan Island. However, it needs more improvement on its facilities. Its seems like that port has no systems. Security is very tight. The waiting area needs more airconditions or electric fans. There are a lot of kids who are asking for money from the tourists.

I had to wait on the boat ride back to zamboanga as we experienced power shortage. And it was hot, no fan is working.
This port is congested even on normal days. Expect hassles when traveling within the area. Someone has to improve this.
Basilan needs more space because it could not accommodate the number of passengers going to Zamboanga City just like what happened to us today, April 10. It would also be nice if the departure area is air-conditioned and they could start developing the port by increasing the terminal fee and use it properly. Nevertheless, kinaya ko naman po
