Mt. Lanaya or well known by its local name as Kalo-Kalo. Can be accessed either from these trails in three different barangays - Minag.a, Lumban, or Legaspi. The latter which is considered one of the toughest you can come by in Cebu. At the peak, an awesome 360 degrees view of the entire province of Alegria. Across the prestine blue waters of this southern town you can see the silhouette of the island of Negros. A must to climb for outdoor enthusiasts. But watch out for the swarming ants and loose soil, it can get pretty rough along the way.

Its overwhelming
From bundok to beach. Mt. Lanaya via motorcycle. DAY 1: 1PM ETD Cebu City to Alegria (11AM ETD if you take the bus) 4PM ETA at Mt. Lanaya base. May parking space dun sa base pero not advisable pala na iakyat ung Nmax kasi super steep and makitid ung daan. Pde cguro ung pang off-road na motor. Next time better leave the motor sa Legaspi Brgy. Hall nlng and ride the habal-habal or just hike. 5PM Pitch tent and photo op Mood: Chill overlooking sunset (super windy na pde ka mag para-sailing kasama tent mo haha) 6PM Dinner. You can bring take out food or cook your own using mini-stove, outdoor pots and pans. Sadly, bawal ang bonfire. Mood: Chilled to almost frozen (better to have a jacket, socks, comforter, 2nd jacket, and body warmers). DAY 2: 5AM Sunrise (nasa likod pla ng mountain so we didn't see it but the cloud formations are awesome) 6AM Breakfast and coffee / Break camp. If you plan to go to the peak, better start early kasi by 8AM super maiinit na. P500 per 10 persons ang bayad sa mountain guide and the hike would take around 2 hrs to reach the peak and 1 hr to descend. So we decided to just go to the beach nlng. (Baka next time I'll try to climb it kung may practice ) 9AM ETD to Lambug beach 10AM ETA Lambug beach 11AM Brunch / Beach bumming / swimming ang mga millenial dare devils in the scorching heat of the sun...ang mga not-so-millenials nasa cottage lng, nag chill . 3PM ETD to Cebu City 7PM ETA (nag via TCH pa kasi kami) Sulit ang weekend! #OBRdiaries
